Kudos to Membership Committee! During our June networking event at the MOSH we were pleased to have invited a student who diligently attended. She is the head of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Chapter (SHPE) at the UNF. Margarita you are one of us and would like to formally extend an invitation to join forces with us and to spread the word among other students to interact with our Chamber and be part of the FCHCC student's organization. During the Clay Chamber of Commerce "After Hours" Event on Thursday, June the 20th, the FCHCC had the opportunity to share with them the event in our progressive plan towards the Business Expo 2014. Our mission to promote the welfare and growth of Hispanic businesses, utilizing our strength in numbers and unity remains paramount. Similarly, it is our vision to be the Hispanic Business Organization of Influence in Northeast Florida; we feel our actions contribute to the continuous creation of a higher standard of living and quality of life in our community. Membership Committee (MC):
The Membership Committee continues to slowly, but steadily increase its membership. By the end of June, we have achieved over 61% of the projected goals for 2013. The membership has increased by 12 new active or renewing members. I reiterate the need for all Chamber leaders to continue supporting the MC's effort by forwarding contact information of potential members to the Membership Director at nestepa@fchcc.com or the Executive Director at execdirector@fchcc.com.
We are currently in the process of reviewing the Member Services Guide and hope to have it complete and available on the website by end of August 2013. I would like to express MC's sincere gratitude to Maribel Hernandez, Francisco Sefair, and Javier Enrique GarcĂa who have made several referrals that have become active members. Thank you for your dedication and support.
The Membership Committee meets on the first Tuesday of every month. If you are interested in attending and experiencing firsthand your FCHCC Membership Committee at work, please contact Nelson Estepa, Membership Director at nestepa@fchcc.com for details. Thank you for the support to FCHCC.
