The Hispanic Chamber is still going strong and growing as evidenced by its recruitment and member retention efforts. We have accomplished one-third of the projected goal for 2015 and 50% of the end of 2014 active members. It is obvious that we need your assistance to achieve success and reach the MC goals. Therefore, we encourage your support and welcome you to become an active member of the FCHCC and specifically the MC. Joining our efforts will help you promote yourself and your business. Furthermore, it will be your way of giving back to the Hispanic Business Community and the future entrepreneurs by helping them succeed with your ideas, feedback and volunteerism. To conclude, I thank all renewing and new members and encourage all to support the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FCHCC) and explore the opportunities that membership can provide your business. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Very Respectfully, Emmanuel Matias membership@fchcc.com ______________________________________________

| Member Spotlight: Bi-Lo Holdings (Winn-Dixie) Bi-Lo Holdings, parent company of BI-LO, Harveys and Winn-Dixie grocery stores, serves customers in the eight southeastern states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee from its headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
As a company that serves the diverse needs of consumers in the Southeast, Bi-Lo Holdings places an emphasis on partnering with local organizations, like the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to make closer connections to the neighborhoods it serves and support initiatives that are important to its customers.
Through the Winn-Dixie banner, Bi-Lo Holdings sponsors local sports teams, such as the Jacksonville Suns and is the Official Supermarket of the Jacksonville Armada FC. Winn-Dixie also participates in local events, including the Florida Black Expo and Generation W Conference, and continues to partner with organizations like the Jacksonville Urban League and Feeding Northeast Florida to give back to the community.
Additionally, Bi-Lo Holdings launched a supplier diversity program in 2014 to meet consumer desires for locally sourced products and to build relationships with other local businesses. The program, deemed "Winn-Local," gives certified small businesses, including minority and women-owned businesses, the chance to pitch their finished, pre-packaged products to Bi-Lo Holdings and potentially sell them in stores. Due to its success in other southeastern cities, the program was implemented in Jacksonville in October 2014 to highlight local products made in North Florida sold on Winn-Dixie store shelves.
Programs and partnerships like these are a priority at Bi-Lo Holdings as they allow the company to truly connect with and better serve the North Florida communities it serves. To learn more, visit www.biloholdings.com or www.winn-dixie.com. |
