President's Message
Welcome summer months! I'm sure many of you are preparing for your much needed vacation time. We will also be taking a break in June from our regular activities as we work to plan a great Excellence in Business Awards to be held on July 14th at the University Club. We have selected some great finalists and look forward to recognizing leaders and supports of the Hispanic Business community as we also honor the Founding Fathers who had a vision for this organization over 23 years ago. Pegine Echevarria is sure to please as our keynote speaker and Lorena Inclan will be fabulous as our Master of Ceremony. Consider being a sponsor of this historic event and purchasing a table or tickets.
I am also pleased to announce that Univision Jacksonville has joined the Chamber as a Strategic Partner! We look forward to partnering with them as we serve the Hispanic community.
Don't forget that Achieving the Dream Scholarship applications are open and we have extended the deadline to give our promising students more time to get their applications in. Please spread the word to Hispanic students who reside in any of the five counties we serve (Duval, Clay, St. Johns, Nassau and Baker). They do not have to attend school in those counties or be members of the chamber to be considered.
If you have not renewed your FCHCC membership or want to join, click here for more information.
Warmest regards,
Maribel Hernandez
