MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Cesar J. Grijota_ FCHCC President _ CEO
Dear FCHCC members and supporters,

We are mid-way through 2017 and I am honored to continue reporting great accomplishments. Since January 1st, we have experienced a 28% increase in membership and welcomed very valuable strategic partners including: Florida Blue, iHeart Media, Univision 18 and Norsan Media

We have also continued to seek and partner with non-profit organizations that can offer the best of services from all industries to our members including: Medical and Healthcare, Elderly care, Business Consulting, Financial Counseling, Banking, Supplier Diversity, and much more.

We have also secured our 2017 Hispanic Heritage Gala and ATD Awards venue at WJCT Studios where we will announce our 2017 FCHCC scholarship recipients. We have received tremendous support from our sponsors including our Presenting Sponsor: Virginia College, Silver Sponsors, EMED Multispecialty Group, VyStar Credit Union, Everbank and Memorial Hospital and Gala Sponsor, Jacksonville University. With approximately 200 attendees, catering by Havana Jax and Latin music resonating from a local Latin band, this is an event that you simply will not want to miss! We are amidst of evaluating and selecting our 2017 scholarship recipients which is proving to be some of the most rewarding work that I have ever been involved in.

There have been many improvements to our website and social media channels as we aim to keep up with the rapidly changing environment in order to provide the best access possible to resources for our members. The list goes on and on and to whom is all this accomplishment attributed to? To 13 very talented board members, 3 incredibly focused staff and a membership base who truly values and understands the power of unification and strength in our community. It is an honor to continue to serve.

Cesar J. Grijota

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
The Chasity Taylor Foundation

The Chasity Taylor Foundation
I am Latricia Taylor, CEO and Co-founder of
The Chasity Taylor Foundation, Inc., located in Jacksonville, Florida founded by me and my husband, Eugene, in 2015. My role is managing
the day-to-day operations.

The foundation was established to turn a tragic situation into a positive one. We lost our daughter to a DUI/DWI car accident on November 2, 2014. In a time like this, we wanted to curl up and not face the world. However, we didn't want our daughter's legacy to end with her tragic death. She was an outgoing, motivated, and giving young lady and what better way to keep her memory alive than to create our foundation dedicating it to her.

Our dream is to extend what we are doing here in Jacksonville to other cities and possibly states to help parents who want the best for their children, but need a little extra help.

The Chasity Taylor Foundation is a small organization with a big heart designed to meet the needs of the youth in our community. Although we have just a toe in the pond in the city called Jacksonville, we strive to spread our wings across this city into other nearby cities. We have a team of motivated, passionate, dynamic, and dedicated professionals who are honored and excited to spread the love of the foundation.

As a foundation, currently we have two active Scholarship programs in place. We have partnered with West Duval Youth Association with the "Chasity Taylor Cheer Scholarship." The second program is the "Chasity Taylor High School Scholarship." We also host an annual back to school celebration and give-away filled backpacks to youth in need. We are working to implement our "CTF Leadership" program for middle and high school youth in the future. To learn more about us, visit us at: http://chasitytaylorfoundation.org/.
