MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear FCHCC Members and Partners,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to our friends, families, brothers and sisters in Mexico and Puerto Rico who are currently facing such difficult times. During times like these, we must come together and show resilience. The FCHCC will continue to support our business community and work with the same passion to serve our members and to create quality events and opportunities that foster business relationships. We are proud to serve our community and will continue to work as a platform for information and business resources.
While we continue working together to make our businesses and communities grow, we remain cognizant of the most urgent need. Below you will find a direct link with information on how you can continue supporting those in need by donating to the disaster relief efforts. We have also created a temporary page on our website to provide you with this information: https://fchcc.com/fchcc-puerto-rico-mexico-relief/ (see the flyer below).

2ND ANNUAL HISPANIC HERITAGE GALA & ACHIEVING THE DREAM SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
On Friday, September 29, the FCHCC hosted its second annual Hispanic Heritage & Achieving the Dream Scholarship Awards presented by Virginia College in Jacksonville. The event was held at WJCT Studio A in downtown Jacksonville and was an Academy Awards themed event. Our "Stars of the Evening", the 2017 Achieving the Dream Scholarship Winners arrived at the event in a limousine donated by Twins Luxury Limousine.
Upon arrival, all guests walked the red carpet down the entry hall lined with movie posters. Our student "Stars" were then able to take their pictures with our live Academy Award in front of the step and repeat highlighting our sponsors for the evening. The guests then enjoyed a cocktail reception with all proceeds being donated to relief efforts of the FCHCC for Puerto Rico and Mexico. After the cocktail reception, guests were escorted to Studio A for dinner catered by Havana JAX as we began the presentation.
