First Coast Hispanic Chamber to Honor Excellence in Business in Northeast Florida

For Immediate Release: JACKSONVILLE, FL (May 12, 2016) – Jacksonville, FL – The First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FCHCC) will present the 2016 Excellence in Business Awards on July 14. The chamber will award the winners in the following categories:

  • Founders Awards
  • Small Business of the Year
  • Corporate Business of the Year
  • Business Leader of the Year
  • Rising Star Award
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • Diversity Impact Award
  • Business Advocate Award
  • Up and Coming Business Award

“The Hispanic business community has many successes and supporters. It is important to recognize them and celebrate this rapidly growing segment of our economy”, said Maribel Hernandez, CEO and President of FCHCC.

FCHCC will also honor the founders of the organization over 23 years ago. These awards are an opportunity to exhibit the innovation taking place in the Northeast Florida community by recognizing leaders and organizations that have positively impacted local businesses. The inaugural event is on Thursday, July 14th from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at The University Club, 1301 Riverplace Blvd., 27th Floor, Jacksonville, FL, 32207.

With Pegine Echevarria as guest speaker, the Excellence in Business Awards breakfast is certain to interest organizations, business owners and leaders who want to engage, market, and reach diverse communities. Echevarria is one of only eight women in the Motivational Speaker Hall of Fame. She is feisty, fearless, focused, and a fun speaker. Lorena Inclán from Action News Jax will emcee the event. Lorena has been a general assignment reporter for Action News Jax since 2012. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

The First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FCHCC) was created to encourage and promote sound, ethical and successful business practices in the Hispanic community and to further the recognition of Hispanic heritage and culture through educational endeavors.
