Description

The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through visual media, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of video production from concept to final delivery. The Video Production Director will work closely with the creative team to produce high-quality content that aligns with the company’s brand and objectives. This role also requires hands-on skills in shooting and editing video content.

Responsibilities

Concept Development: Collaborate with the creative team to develop innovative video concepts and storyboards that meet the company's strategic goals.

Project Management: Oversee all phases of video production, including pre-production, shooting, editing, and post-production, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Shooting: Operate cameras and other equipment to capture high-quality video footage, ensuring optimal lighting, sound, and framing.

Editing: Edit video content using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects to create polished final products.

Technical Oversight: Ensure the highest quality of video production by staying current with industry trends and advancements in video technology and techniques.

Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing expert guidance and managing expectations throughout the production process.

Budget Management: Develop and manage production budgets, negotiating with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control standards, reviewing all content before delivery to ensure it meets the company’s brand guidelines and client specifications.

Content Strategy: Contribute to the development of the company’s overall content strategy, ensuring video content is aligned with marketing and communication goals.

Problem Solving: Quickly address any production issues that arise, providing effective solutions to keep projects on track.

Self-Starter: Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance video production processes and outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Video Production Director or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of video production projects, including shooting and editing.
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
  • Excellent camera operation skills with knowledge of lighting and sound equipment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with strong storytelling skills.
    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Skills
  • Experience working in non-profit, business-to-business and consumer marketing and advertising
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and animation.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.
Education

Bachelor's Degree or above, Some college (2 years or Associate's Degree), Degree not required
