The Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council (SFMSDC) hosted its 40th Anniversary Awards Gala September 25, 2015 at Jungle Island in Miami, Florida. Awards presented on the evening include Local & National Corporations of the Year, MBE Suppliers of the Year, Advocate of the Year, Buyer of the Year, Champions of the SFMSDC Award, Crystal Award, and the Doing Well While Doing Good® Award.
The Awards Gala is an annual event which recognizes the achievements of South Florida’s top minority-owned businesses, dynamic industry leaders and major corporations that are committed to Supplier Diversity. Visit their website to learn more about the annual event.
Winn-Dixie, FCHCC’s Strategic Partner, Derek Lott, Sr. Director Supplier Diversity at Southeastern Grocers/Winn-Dixie Stores (pictured left) won the Advocate of the Year award. He recently spoke at our September business luncheon about supply chain, diversity and minorities doing business with Winn-Dixie.
