August 2, 2016 – JACKSONVILLE, FL – The First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FCHCC) announces its first Annual Hispanic Heritage Gala and Achieving the Dream Scholarship Awards presented by eMed Multispecialty Group, to be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016, at the Club Continental, 2143 Astor St., Orange Park, FL 32073. The event is from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.
The FCHCC Hispanic Heritage Gala and Achieving the Dream Scholarship Awards recognizes the outstanding achievements of Hispanic students awarded scholarships while celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. This annual gala is one of the premier Hispanic events for the First Coast Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, hosting Jacksonville’s most influential individuals and businesses. The Gala has an Old Havana theme inviting attendees to dress in semi-formal or Cuban themed attire. Attendees can anticipate a night of live music, dancing, silent auction, cigar rolling, rum tasting, dominoes, antique car show and more. Univision 18 Jacksonville, FCHCC Strategic Partner Trustee, will also be present at the event.
In previous years, the Achieving the Dream Scholarship Awards was presented at an annual luncheon. With the growth of the event, the FCHCC executive team made a decision to recognize these students, while also celebrating the rich heritage of the Hispanic community. For 2016 recipients, a part of the Achieving the Dream Scholarship was funded by The Grainger Foundation. Sponsorship opportunities are available at the event including fundraising funds for the Achieving the Dream Scholarships.
